1A 6-Man Oregon high school football playoff races: What’s at stake in Week 9
Here’s a league-by-league look at the playoff possibilities in Class 1A 6-Man entering the last week of the regular season.
Eleven teams automatically qualify for the 1A eight-man state playoffs, plus one at-large berth to the highest-ranked non-automatic qualifier.
Special District 1 (5)
Who’s in: Joseph (6-1 SD1, 5-0, OSAA #7), South Wasco County (6-1, 4-0, #3), Harper Charter (6-2, 4-1, #9), Prairie City/Burnt River (6-1, 3-1, #1)
Who’s out: Wallowa (3-5, 3-2, #20), Pine Eagle (2-5, 2-3, #23), Dayville/Monument/Long Creek (3-4, 1-4, #17), Jordan Valley (1-6, 1-4, #27), Huntington (0-7, 0-6, #25)
At stake this week: Joseph and South Wasco County play for the district title, while Echo (4-3, 2-2, #12) plays defending state champion Spray/Mitchell/Wheeler (3-4, 1-3, #14) for the district’s final automatic berth. The loser would still be eligible for the only at-large berth in the state bracket.
Special District 2 North (3)
Who’s in: Alsea (8-1, 6-1 SD2N, #6)
Who should feel safe: Eddyville (6-1, 5-1, #5), Triangle Lake (5-2, 4-2, #8)

At stake this week: Falls City/Kings Valley Charter (5-2, 4-2, #11) finishes against McKenzie and will be watching results in the other two districts closely to see if it remains in the one at-large spot.
Special District 2 South (3)
Who’s in: Powers (8-0, 7-0 SD3S, #2), Elkton (6-1, 6-1, #4), North Lake (5-2, 5-2, #10)
Who’s out: Days Creek (4-4, 3-4, #15), Riddle (2-5, 2-4, #19), Glendale (1-7, 1-6, #21), Gilchrist (0-8, 0-7, #26)
