Oregon 6A football awards: Lakeridge's Noah Tishendorf earns state's breakout underclassman

A look at the top Oregon 6A football performances during the regular season

The Oregon high school football postseason has arrived, which means it's time to give out my regular season awards.

Breakout Underclassman: Noah Tishendorf, Lakeridge Pacers

This award won't show up anywhere in the "official awards" announced along with all-state teams or player of the year.

But I wanted to recognize the breakout performance of Lakeridge sophomore Noah Tishendorf, especially since his teammate, sophomore Ansu Sanoe, is already a national recruit with an offer from the Georgia Bulldogs.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound sophomore athlete looks the part of a future college football prospect and was the best player this season that I hadn’t already heard of coming into it.

Tishendorf is unofficially leading the state in sacks and had a valid argument to be named the defensive lineman of the year in the regular season.

College coaches, take note!

Check out the other awards:

- Overall MVP

- Offensive player of the year

- Defensive player of the year

- Newcomer of the year

- Best offense

- Best defense

- Offensive lineman of the year

- Defensive lineman of the year

- Freshman of the year
