Lucas Carter, Summit
The junior goalkeeper had a key second-half save in helping the Storm get a 1-0 shutout win over Hood River Valley in the Class 5A state title match, played at Sherwood High School.
Angel Castillo, McLoughlin
The senior midfielder had an assist for the Pioneers in their 3-1 win against Westside Christian in the Class 3A/2A/1A state championship contest, played at Liberty High School.
Will Ficker, Westside Christian
The senior forward scored the Eagles’ goal in their 3-1 loss to McLoughlin in the Class 3A/2A/1A state championship contest, played at Liberty High School.
Emmanuel Galindo, Hood River Valley
The sophomore goalkeeper stepped up with 13 saves for the Eagles in a 1-0 loss to Summit in the Class 5A state championship contest, played at Sherwood High School.
Almikar Garcia, McLoughlin
The senior midfielder/forward scored a pair of goals for the Pioneers in their 3-1 win against Westside Christian in the Class 3A/2A/1A state championship match, played at Liberty High School.
Luca Gatto, Summit
The senior forward recorded the only goal of the match, helping the Storm get a 1-0 win over Hood River Valley in the Class 5A state championship contest, played at Sherwood High School.
Anthony Gonzalez, Newport
The senior midfielder, and a team captain, scored the go-ahead goal in overtime for the Cubs in their 3-1 win over North Marion in a Class 4A state playoff semifinal match played in Newport.
Danny Gonzalez, McLoughlin
The junior scored the tying goal in the final 10 minutes of regulation play, and then had one of the Pioneers’ successful attempts in the penalty kick shootout to help the team get a 4-3 (4-2 in PKs) win at Catlin Gabel in a Class 3A/2A/1A state playoff semifinal contest. He also converted a penalty kick in a 3-1 win over Westside Christian in the state championship match.
Sebastian Guzman, Newport
The senior forward/defender scored the opening goal of the match for the Cubs in their 2-1 win against Cottage Grove in the Class 4A state title tilt, played at Liberty High School.
Ivan Hernandez, Newport
The senior midfielder scored the winning goal in overtime for the Cubs in their 2-1 victory over Cottage Grove in the Class 4A state championship match, played at Liberty High School.
Brady Housley, Westside Christian
The senior forward, and a team captain, had a goal and two assists for the Eagles in their 4-1 win over St. Mary’s of Medford in a Class 3A/2A/1A state playoff semifinal match played at Westside Christian.
Karson Kosik, Lakeridge
The senior scored a match-tying goal with less than 10 minutes remaining in regulation play, helping the Pacers come away with a 3-2 win over Jesuit in the Class 6A state title match played at Sherwood High School.
