Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Pennsylvania high school athlete of the week for August 27 – September 2. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m. Votes must be made in the poll and emailed votes will not count. Olivia Anderson, Northern York girls field hockey 

 In the same week that she recorded her 100th career point, the senior scored the tying goal against Biglerville on Thursday before netting the game-winner in overtime. And on Friday, she found the net three more times in a win over Shippensburg.

Clarence Barber, Lakeview football

The senior defensive back was a ball hawk on Friday night, intercepting three passes and returning one for a touchdown in a 58-19 win over Saegertown.

Colin Brady, West Greene football

Rushed for 254 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-14 win over Chartiers-Houston

Joe Furgiuele, Conneaut Area football

The junior didn’t need many touches to make his impact felt in a 32-13 win over Seneca as he ran the ball five times for 199 yards and three touchdowns, including scores of 75 and 81 yards.

Drew Griffith, Butler boys cross country

Took home top honors in Class 3A at the Marty Uher Invitational at California High School with a time of 12:25.6

Noah Handzel, Erie Cathedral Prep boys soccer

In a 5-0 win over Brecksville-Broadview Heights (Ohio), Handzel started his season with a hat trick.

Devin Harris, Shady Side Academy football

Helped lead Shady Side to a 34-28 win over North Catholic by throwing for 361 yards and four touchdowns, including a 10-yard strike in overtime.

Hunter Hohman, Grove City football

The quarterback accounted for seven touchdowns as the Eagles came away with a 62-7 win over Northwestern. He completed 17-of-21 passes for 324 yards and five scores while rushing for 85 yards and two more touchdowns on just three carries.

Jackson Humes, North East football

In a win over Girard, the senior quarterback completed all seven of his pass attempts for 275 yards and four touchdowns while setting the school’s record for career passing yards.

Nathan Katari, North Allegheny boys soccer

In a 3-1 win over Pine-Richland, the junior accounted for all three goals for the Tigers for his first career hat trick.

Ethen Knox, Oil City football

Knox just continues to rack up the numbers on the ground. In a win over Corry on Friday, he ran the ball 42 times for 366 yards and three touchdowns to eclipse the 6,000-yard mark in his career.

Logan Kushner, North Allegheny football

In a 30-6 win over Canon McMillan, Kushner ran for 167 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries and also completed 1- of his 18 pass attempts for 121 yards and a score.

Quinton Martin, Belle Vernon football

In Belle Vernon’s first game of the season, a 40-0 win over Laurel Highlands, the Penn State commit scored four touchdowns – three on the ground and one on a pass reception.

Spencer Petrucci, California football

The senior running back rushed for 287 yards and three scores as California shut out Charleroi 47-0.

Aaran Randolph, Highlands football

The senior quarterback showed off his running ability in a 33-20 win over Blackhawk, rushing for 265 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries. That included a 99-yard touchdown run and a 72-yard run that set up another Highlands score.

Stone Saunders, Bishop McDevitt football

The University of Kentucky commit threw for 243 yards and a pair of touchdowns while also running for the game-winning score in a 46-42 win over DePaul (New Jersey)

Ahmad Ward, Derry football

Carried the ball 28 times for 191 yards and three touchdowns as Derry defeated Greensburg Salem 26-21 to snap a 20-game losing streak.

Payton Wehner, Pittsburgh Central Catholic football

In a 47-6 win over St. Ignatius (Ohio), Wehner completed 11-of-17 passes for 244 yards and three touchdowns while also running for a score.

Faith Wratto, Milton Hershey girls soccer

Recorded a hat trick in a 7-2 win over Lebanon.

Jay Wrona, Mohawk football

In a 42-8 win over Quaker Valley, Wrona tossed five touchdown passes while throwing for 182 yards.
