Fresh off being named the people's Elite 11 MVP, consensus five-star quarterback Dante Moore is set to announce his commitment Friday during the 9 a.m. PT/noon ET hour of ESPN's "SportsCenter."

LSU, Michigan, Oregon and Texas A&M have all been contenders at various times, but in the hours before his decision, one program stands out.

Prediction: Dante Moore to Oregon Ducks

The nation's No. 8 overall prospect and No. 4 quarterback - both of which could rise in the coming weeks - has been a rumored Oregon lean for the past month or so.

While there's been rumblings of other programs attempting to sway Moore late, all signs point to the last uncommitted five-star quarterback choosing Oregon.

Offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham has seemed positively gleeful on Twitter, possibly dropping hints of a major commitment for the past 48 hours.

The gimmick may have jumped the shark Thursday night - when he tweeted that he planned to watch "Dante's Peak" with his in-laws before deleting it.

When there's a last-minute surprise in recruiting there's almost always growing buzz in the days and hours before, but there has been none of that Thursday.

All signs point to Moore choosing Oregon.

In fact, there's been more buzz that he may be in line to become the nation's No. 1 overall prospect than that he'll go anywhere other than Oregon.

There can always be a shocker in the NIL era, but it sure feels like "Moore chooses Oregon" will be the headline Friday.

Duck fans should rejoice.

He may be the most important recruiting target in program history
