Beaumont United (Texas) star Wesley Yates, the nation's No. 2 shooting guard, is set to announce his commitment Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. PT/11:30 a.m. CT.

In August, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound playmaker released a top nine consisting of Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Gonzaga, Houston, LSU, Stanford, Texas and Washington.

So, where is he headed?

Well, according to recruiting industry experts the Washington Huskies have emerged as the heavy favorites to land the coveted shooting guard.

The only two predictions on 247Sports have come in the past few days and both chose Washington, while On3 gives the Huskies a 94.5 percent chance of securing his pledge.

Both services list Yates as a high-end four-star prospect - just missing five-star status.

Rivals, on the other hand, considers the Texas guard to be a five-star talent as the nation's No. 23 overall prospect

A commitment from Yates would mark Washington's highest-rated pledge since and Isaiah Stewart (No. 3) and Jaden McDaniels (No. 8) in the 2019 recruiting cycle
