Trent Ferguson, Oregon Ducks pledge, has played four games of football, but has jaw-dropping potential

West Salem (Oregon) three-star offensive tackle Trent Ferguson is headed to Oregon

Last fall, West Salem (Oregon) junior Trent Ferguson decided to join the football team midway through the season.

The then-6-foot-7, 300-pound projectable lineman was coming off a serious foot injury and wasn't yet 100 percent.

But given his combination of size and athleticism, Ferguson's potential became too hard to ignore.

After just a few practices, which included a tutorial on how to put on his pads, Ferguson earned varsity playing time - and was immediately a star.

By the end of just his fourth game - and less than two months of lifetime football experience - he landed on Oregon's radar.

The Ducks hosted him and quickly offered him a scholarship, which he accepted this week.

On this week's "Recruiting with Andrew Nemec" on 1080 The FAN, Ferguson joined the show to discuss his football journey and his expectations for himself in the coming years.
