Isaiah Garcia, Under Armour All-American offensive lineman, cuts list to 10
During the recruiting process, Corner Canyon (Utah) four-star offensive lineman Isaiah Garcia has accumulated more than 20 scholarship offers.
But now the 6-foot-5, 280-pound versatile offensive lineman is down to 10.
Garcia, an Under Armour All-American selection, made the announcement Tuesday, trimming his semifinalists down to Alabama, Miami, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington:
Thus far, Garcia's trips have been West region-center.
He has taken spring trips to BYU, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington, but is clearly expanding his horizons with the inclusion of Alabama and Miami.
Still, Garcia is believed to be leaning toward staying regional at the collegiate level, which is good news for West Coast programs.
Garcia is rated the nation's No. 197 overall prospect, No. 11 interior offensive lineman and No. 1 player in the state of Utah.
Here's what 247Sports had to say about the Utah product as a recruit:
"Well-proportioned frame and narrow through the hips. High-upside body type with plus length. Athletic tackle who absorbs contact well. Displays a mean streak in pass protection. Moves his feet tremendously well to stay in front of pass rushers. Seamlessly shifts weight to stay balanced at the point of attack. Flashes great flexibility and bend. Shows good hand violence to neutralize defenders. Could continue to improve as a run blocker and maintaining pad leverage. Potential multi-year starter at elite Power Five level."
