It has been a whirlwind past few months for C.H. Flowers (Maryland) three-star offensive lineman Mike Williams on the recruiting trail.

The coveted 6-foot-6, 325-pound lineman originally committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks in April, then re-opened his recruitment in May.

Following an official visit to check out the Florida Gators this past weekend, Williams is again off the market, locking in his future in Gainesville:

"What stood out about Florida was how the coaches and players interacted with each other," he said. "It's all about family in Gainesville, especially with the offensive line, Being there this weekend really showed me how they're able to bond off the field and transition it to the field"

Another major plus for Florida was the amount of offensive line expertise on staff.

"They have basically two O-line coaches, which is great for development compared to just one coach coaching 15-18 guys," Williams said. "Their motto is 'five equals one' and they stand by that. Coach (Darnell) Stapleton and (Rob) Sale have a developmental system that works and I would love to be a part of it and will."

Williams is rated the nation's No. 98 offensive tackle in the country, but his offer sheet indicates college coaches view him as a much better prospect.

The mammoth high schooler generated nearly 20 scholarship offers during his recruitment, highlighted by Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, Tennessee, USC, Virginia Tech and others.

Williams intends to graduate ahead of schedule and become an early enrollee at Florida.
