Keyonte George drafted by Utah Jazz in 2023 NBA Draft
Keyonte George was one of the most well-known class of 2022 high school basketball prospects in the country after an impressive senior season at IMG Academy (Florida).
A five-star guard and the nation's No. 3 overall prospect, George averaged 17.8 points and shot 41% from three-point range in his senior season. He was named a McDonald's All-American and eventually committed to Baylor - becoming the highest Bears' recruit in program history.
As a freshman on a veteran dominated Baylor roster, George averaged 15.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals and shot 34% from beyond the arc.
Now, the NBA awaits.
George was selected by the Utah Jazz with the No. 16 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
George's shot-making ability, strong ball-handling skills and feel for the game have NBA scouts and executives intrigued. His future is likely as a lead or secondary guard in the league.
The Jazz need a strong, young and versatile point guard and George fits that mold.
