Terrell Kim, North Medford 3-star offensive lineman, has high praise for Oregon State Beavers official visit

North Medford interior offensive lineman Terrell Kim took a key official visit to Corvallis this weekend

North Medford (Oregon) three-star offensive lineman Terrell Kim hasn’t been shy about his desire to play college football at the highest level.

The 6-foot-4, 325-pound interior offensive lineman has worked tirelessly to advance his recruitment - from the FCS to the Mountain West to the Pac-12 Conference.

After a series of standout showings on the late spring/early summer camp circuit, Kim picked up an important offer from the in-state Oregon State Beavers.

“It meant a lot, because me and my uncle have been working really hard at all these camps to reach some of our in-state schools," Kim said. "Having it be a high level college is really meaningful.”

Over the weekend, he took his official visit to Corvallis, where he got a closer look at the fast-rising program.

“It was awesome," Kim said. "I got to enjoy hanging out with the staff and the players. I toured the whole school."

However, there were two standout factors - a genuine family feel to the program and a connection to his possible position coach.

“It was honestly the people, the family environment," Kim said. "Everyone took care of me and my family. Everyone was welcoming and it just felt normal - nothing tense or stressful. It was a good time.”

More specifically, the North Medford star sat down with offensive line coach Jim Michalczik to break down film.

Kim was left floored by Michalczik's knowledge base.

“That factors in a lot, and that Coach M loves football," he said. "I had a meeting with him watching film, and he knew what the play was right off the jump and the play barely started. His players are saying he’s a psycho for football."

Kim doesn't have a timeline for a decision, but expects the Beavers to be major contender the rest of the way.
