Five-star guard Boogie Fland down to eight schools

The 6-foot-3 senior is the top point guard recruit in New York

Boogie Fland, one of the most highly coveted boys basketball recruits in the class of 2024, has narrowed his list to eight schools. 

Fland announced on social media that Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, St. John's and UConn have all made the final cut. 

The Archbishop Stepinac (New York) five-star point guard has taken official visits to Michigan, North Carolina and Indiana so far. He has also taken unofficial visits to UConn and St. John's. 

According to On3, Michigan is the current leader to land Boogie Fland with a 26.2% chance while Indiana is not far behind with a 22.9% chance.

At the 2023 Pangos All-American Camp, one of the most prestigious boys basketball high school events in the country, Fland averaged 18 points, 5.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and shot 35.3% from three-point range. He also had a breakout performance while at the Pangos All-American Camp where he dropped 30 points, six rebounds and six assists while shooting 7-for-10 beyond the arc. 

The 6-foot-3 175-pound senior point guard is ranked as the nation's No. 7 overall recruit in the class of 2024, New York's No. 2 overall prospect and the No. 1 point guard in the senior class according to On3.
