Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State commit, attending Florida State-LSU to check out Seminoles

Chaminade-Madonna (Florida) five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is still being heavily recruited despite his commitment

Chaminade-Madonna (Florida) five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is not only the nation's top pass-catcher, he's also arguably the top prospect in the country.

Listed as the nation's No. 2 recruit in the class of 2024, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound pass-catcher has been committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes since December

But with offers from nearly every major college football program, Smith is still being heavily recruited from coast-to-coast.

And it may be that one school in particular has generated some interest.

This week, Smith is planning to attend Sunday's highly-anticipated Sunday night match-up between No. 5 LSU and No. 8 Florida State.

Smith will attend the neutral-site game with an eye on the Seminoles, but will not be allowed to have any interaction with the coaching staff, per NCAA rules.

When the Florida product originally committed to the Buckeyes late last year, Georgia, Florida, Florida State and others were considered contenders.

Could the Seminoles re-enter the fray?

Smith's visit is certainly an interesting development.
