Missouri has a strong 2024 recruiting class so far, but it could get even better

Missouri Tigers football Eliah Drinkwitz tweeted, "Soaring through St. Louis! Friday night lights!" from a helicopter and it wasn't difficult to figure out where he was headed.

St. Louis University and Christian Brothers College clash in a major match-up that features two of the nation's top recruits.

And both are on Missouri's wishlist.

Christian Brothers College four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan, an Ohio State Buckeyes commit, may prove to be a difficult player to flip, however Missouri is also after his teammate, class of 2025 three-star prospect Corey Simms.

The Tigers are among the favorites to land St. Louis University five-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo, the nation's No. 7 overall prospect.

The Texas Longhorns are clearly a threat, but Drinkwitz is pulling out all of the stops.

Arriving to the game by helicopter is a great place to start.

Wearing an "NWO" shirt, an abbreviation for Missouri's "Nasty Wide Outs," was also a nice touch as a nod to McClellan and Wingo.

Overall, Missouri's 2024 recruiting class is ranked No. 50 nationally, but has plenty of room to grow - with just 13 pledges.

Currently, the headliner of the bunch is Lee's Summit North (Missouri) five-star defensive lineman Williams Nwaneri, the nation's No. 3 overall prospect.

Frankly, Nwaneri would be a difficult headliner to top, but adding Wingo would go a long way in making it a dynamic duo.

It would also give the Tigers commitments from the top two players in the home state.
