Patrick Mahomes celebrates 5-star prospect's commitment on social media

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is thrilled with Texas Tech's big addition

Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is having an interesting week on social media.

On Monday night, Mahomes tweeted a message upon learning of the injury to New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

"Hate that man... Praying for the best," he wrote.

That quickly led to a flurry of tweets reminding Mahomes that he likely left out a comma between "that" and "man," unless he really doesn't like Rodgers.

The star quarterback edited his tweet, added the comma and responded to fans.

"Knew I was going to need that edit button on here one of these days," he wrote.

Just three minutes after correcting his error, Mahomes again posted a notable message.

This time celebrating Texas Tech's massive recruiting win.

Earlier in the day, Texas Tech landed its first-ever five-star recruit, Lake Belton (Texas) pass-catcher Micah Hudson, the nation's No. 9 overall prospect and No. 2 wide receiver.

That immediately fired up the Texas Tech fanbase even more.

Overall, Texas Tech's 19-man recruiting class is ranked No. 23 nationally and consists of four bluechip prospects - with Hudson as the obvious headliner.

From a forgotten comma to a big recruiting win, Mahomes certainly had a noteworthy social media experience Monday evening.
