Jeremiah McClellan, Ohio State wide receiver commit, visiting Oregon Ducks this weekend: Report

On3 has reported Jeremiah McClellan is visiting Oregon this weekend

The Oregon Ducks big weekend seems to be growing by the hour in terms of what's at stake.

Why?

Dan Lanning's program seems to be adding bluechip recruits to its visitor list every few minutes.

On Friday, On3 reported that Christian Brothers College (Missouri) four-star wide receiver and Ohio State pledge Jeremiah McClellan will be in Eugene this weekend.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound pass-catcher confirmed those plans with SBLiveSports.

McClellan is a special playmaker.

While he is rated no higher than the nation's No. 12 wide receiver by recruiting services, the college football world is much higher on his skillset.

During his recruitment, McClellan accumulated more than 40 scholarship offers, making him one of the most coveted pass-catchers in America.

His offer sheet included the likes of Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and many others.

McClellan visited Oregon for their spring game and had high praise for the Ducks, and Lanning's program was a finalist when he made his decision in mid-August.

But several schools haven't given up, including Missouri and Oregon.

For the Ducks to fully re-enter the mix they'll have to impress McClellan this weekend.

Getting him on campus, however, is a sign that McClellan is still listening.

So far, Oregon has a solid pass-catching class - Newport Harbor (California) four-star prospect Jordan Anderson, San Jacinto (California) four-star playmaker Dillon Gresham and Mater Dei (California) three-star receiver Jack Ressler.
