Jonah Williams, nation's No. 1 LB/S in 2025, expects 'crazy atmosphere' during Oregon Ducks visit

Ball (Texas) five-star linebacker/safety Jonah Williams is visiting Oregon this weekend

The Oregon Ducks are hosting a star-studded visitor list for this weekend's game against the Colorado Buffaloes.

One of the highest-rated prospects planning to be on campus is Ball (Texas) five-star defender Jonah Williams, who is rated as the nation's No. 1 linebacker but is also considered arguably the nation's top safety.

Oregon has primarily recruited the 6-foot-3, 200-pound athlete as a safety, and the Ducks recently made his cut down from more than 25 offers to 12.

Who made the cut? Arizona State, Colorado, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and USC.

Given that two of those semifinalists, Colorado and Oregon, will clash during his visit to Eugene, the game provides plenty of intrigue.

And Williams can't wait.

"I’m very excited for this matchup with Colorado," he said. "I think it’ll be the most anticipated matchup of the year. With two undefeated teams going at it, (it's) bound to have a crazy atmosphere."

He's not the only major prospect anticipating a wild affair.
