Dakorien Moore, nation's No. 5 overall prospect and LSU commit, visiting Texas Longhorns this weekend: Report

Duncanville (Texas) five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore is set to visit Texas this weekend

The Texas Longhorns are taking a major swing to try to flip one of the nation's top prospects.

According to 247Sports, Duncanville (Texas) five-star wide receiver and LSU Tigers pledge Dakorien Moore will take an unofficial visit to check out Texas this weekend.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound pass-catcher is rated the nation's No. 5 overall prospect and No. 2 wide receiver in the class of 2025.

Moore is quite possibly the most dynamic receiver in America, and has shown that early in his junior campaign.

In the season opener, the Duncanville star had touchdown receptions of 71, 79 and 89 yards.

Despite Moore's commitment to LSU, multiple programs have remained in the mix to try to lure him away from the Tigers.

But Texas may have an ace or two up its sleeve.

Not only are the Longhorns an in-state program, but Texas already boasts the commitment of fellow Duncanville five-star prospect Colin Simmons, the nation's No. 4 overall prospect and No. 2 edge-rusher in the class of 2024.

Could Texas go back-to-back with Duncanville five-star prospects?

The Longhorns will get their shot this weekend.
