Prediction: Miami Hurricanes to land elite playmaker

Miami is poised to add one of the nation's most dynamic playmakers

Colquitt County (Georgia) wide receiver Ny Carr has been one of the country's most electric playmakers this fall.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound pass-catcher recently broke the school record for career touchdown receptions with 35.

Carr, the nation's No. 36 overall prospect and No. 8 wide receiver, had been committed to the Georgia Bulldogs until re-opening his recruitment in late September.

Almost immediately the Miami Hurricanes emerged as the most serious threat to land the Georgia product.

This weekend, Carr is taking a visit to Miami for its game against Georgia Tech, alongside Chaminade-Madonna (Florida) five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, the nation's No. 1 wide receiver and Ohio State pledge.Β

Given his expressed interest in Mario Cristobal's program since his decommitment, coupled with his approaching visit, all signs point to Carr choosing Miami - sooner rather than later.

Prediction: Ny Carr to Miami Hurricanes

And the recruiting industry agrees.

247Sports had a prediction in for Carr to choose the Canes this week, and On3 gives Miami a 90.9 percent chance of winning the recruiting battle.Β

Miami's recruiting class is ranked No. 17 nationally, but would jump to No. 11 with the addition of Carr, leapfrogging Clemson, Texas, Auburn, Michigan, Oregon and Penn State in the process.
