Deion Sanders, Colorado hosting Antwann Hill, nation's No. 5 quarterback
The Colorado Buffaloes have dramatically enhanced their profile under the leadership of head coach Deion Sanders.
That has led to jaw-dropping TV ratings and highly-ranked recruits visiting campus at never-before-seen levels.
This Friday provides the latest evidence of that rise.
Colorado hosts Stanford on ESPN, and a major visitor has arrived on campus.
Houston County (Georgia) four-star quarterback Antwann Hill, the nation's No. 5 signal-caller in the class of 2025, will be on hand for the nationally-televised matchup.
Interestingly, it seems Colorado may attack the portal aggressively in the 2024 cycle before turning to a more balanced blend of high school talent and transfers in 2025.
So far, Colorado has just nine commitments in the 2024 cycle, a group that ranks No. 68 nationally.
In the 2025 class, the Buffaloes already have a pair of commitments and the group is ranked No. 16.
It seems 2025 high school talent is the primary recruiting focus for Coach Prime.
Hill fits right in with that timeline.
