Husan Longstreet visits Washington; Nation's No. 4 QB has 'amazing' trip

Centennial (California) quarterback Husan Longstreet visited Washington for its top-10 victory over Oregon

The Washington Huskies hosted a massive weekend last week, featuring ESPN's "College GameDay," a top-10 clash - and win - over Oregon and dozens of top recruits.

One of the headliners of that group was Centennial (California) star Husan Longstreet, the nation's No. 4 quarterback in the class of 2025.

For the dynamic California passer, the trip checked a lot of boxes.

"I thought Washington was amazing," Longstreet said. "The energy was crazy and exciting. It was also the loudest stadium I’ve been in." 

Given that Michael Penix Jr. was one of the game's - and college football's - biggest stars, becoming the quarterback in Washington's high-powered offense is a selling point for the program. 

'"They run more of a pro style offense, which allows me to use my playmaking ability," he said. 

As a sophomore, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound signal-caller threw for 3,941 yards and 40 touchdowns with just seven interceptions. 

In other words, he might fit right in with what Kalen DeBoer's program has cooking in Seattle.

Still, there's a lot more to see.

Longstreet holds offers from nearly 30 major programs, highlighted by Colorado, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, UCLA and Washington.

Clearly, however, Washington did enough over the weekend to generate further interest from the bluechip quarterback.
