Zion Grady, nation's No. 1 edge-rusher, sets commitment date following 'great' Alabama visit

Charles Henderson (Alabama) five-star edge-rusher Zion Grady had high praise for Alabama visit

The Alabama Crimson Tide hosted a crucial visitor this weekend.

And his trip couldn't have gone much better.

Charles Henderson (Alabama) five-star prospect Zion Grady, the nation's No. 1 edge-rusher in 2025, made a return trip to Tuscaloosa this weekend, and left in high spirits.

"The Bama trip was great," he said. "I think the gameday atmosphere is what stood out the most for this trip... the fans were electric."

>>> Prediction: Where is Zion Grady headed?

But the 6-foot-4, 220-pound defender's interest runs much deeper than the vibes on campus.

He feels Alabama has a great history developing his position under legendary coach Nick Saban.

"I do feel like Bama's rich history of development at my position is a huge factor to consider," he said. "How could anyone not want to play for (Coach Saban)? He demands commitment and effort. He has a resume like no other."

Immediately following the trip, Grady set a November 12 commitment date.

While he is still working on the announcement details with 247Sports, he is certain that the date is cemented.

How special is Grady - and what would the "winning" school be getting?

During his junior campaign, the Alabama product racked up 108 tackles, 22 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries, making him one of the nation's most productive front-seven defenders.
