Prediction: Oregon Ducks set to land key basketball target

A key Oregon Ducks target is set to come off the board Thursday

There was a time during the Ernie Kent era where it seemed the Oregon Ducks men's basketball program couldn't land an in-state target.

Now, it seems Dana Altman gets whoever he wants.

Payton Pritchard. Nathan Bittle. Mookie Cook. Jackson Shelstad.

It sounds like that recent run is set to continue with another key in-state addition.

Prediction: Isaac Carr to Oregon Ducks

Central Catholic (Oregon) combo guard Isaac Carr is set to announce his college commitment Thursday at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET and is down to a list of four finalists - Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford and Washington State.

The athletic 6-foot-3, 170-pound playmaker is known for filling up the stat sheet and his sharpshooting, and is ranked the nation's No. 18 combo guard and the No. 1 player in Oregon in the class of 2025.

As a sophomore, Carr averaged 14.8 points per game, while shooting 36.8 percent from three and 82.8 percent from the free throw line.

Ever since he received an offer from the Ducks in early August, Oregon has been the clear-cut team to beat.

While all four of his finalists have worked hard to land the versatile guard, expect Altman and his program to finish on top Thursday.

Carr would be Oregon's first commitment in the class of 2025
