DJ Lagway, Florida Gators 5-star quarterback commit, delivers stunning, long jump-pass touchdown

Willis (Texas) five-star quarterback DJ Lagway is having a special season

If there was a Heisman Trophy given to the top high school player in the country, Willis (Texas) five-star quarterback and Florida Gators pledge DJ Lagway would be an overwhelming favorite.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound signal-caller has been sensational during his senior campaign and provided a couple of stellar highlights Saturday, as he led his squad to a Texas 13-6A district championship with a 60-52 win.

In the first half, Lagway delivered a back-foot 36-yard touchdown pass up the sideline to give his team the lead, then he delivered a 35-yard jump pass in the fourth quarter that generated a nearly identical call from the announcer:

Lagway is rated the nation's No. 16 overall prospect and No. 2 quarterback in the class of 2024, but one could make a strong argument that no quarterback has been more impressive this season.

The Gators got a good one!
