Husan Longstreet, nation's No. 4 quarterback, cuts list to 8

Centennial (California) elite quarterback Husan Longstreet cut his list to eight Wednesday

Centennial (California) star Husan Longstreet, the nation's No. 56 overall prospect and No. 4 quarterback in the class of 2025, holds nearly 30 scholarship offers from the country's top program.

But on Wednesday, the coveted 6-foot-1, 185-pound signal-caller cut his list down to eight - Florida State, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oregon, UCLA and Washington:

The list brings few surprises.

Longstreet has long been viewed as a possible answer for Michigan and recently had rave reviews for his visit to Washington.

"I thought Washington was amazing," he told SBLive Sports. "The energy was crazy and exciting. It was also the loudest stadium I’ve been in."

As a sophomore, Longstreet threw for 3,941 yards and 40 touchdowns with just seven interceptions, and has been stellar during his junior campaign.

In modern recruiting, elite quarterbacks tend to come off the board during their junior years.

Longstreet appears to be on track for an early decision given this week's cut to eight.
