Georgia commit Justin Williams sacks Florida-bound DJ Lagway on consecutive plays: Watch

Oak Ridge (Texas) faces Willis (Texas) in a marquee matchup

Texas is known for its barbecue and high school football.

But the order may be up for debate.

On Friday, two of the state's most talented teams, Oak Ridge and Willis, clashed in one of the nation's biggest games.

Why?

Well, the contest featured Willis five-star quarterback and Florida Gators commit DJ Lagway against an Oak Ridge defense led by Georgia-bound five-star linebacker Justin Williams

Thanks to the video of On3's Sam Spiegelman, football fans got a first-hand look at the match-up.

While wearing Georgia gloves, Williams registered back-to-back sacks against Lagway, then added a third before halftime:

Despite the three sacks from Williams, it was Lagway-led Willis who entered halftime with a 21-14 lead behind two passing touchdowns and a rushing score from the future Gators quarterback.

Williams is rated the nation's No. 9 overall prospect and No. 1 linebacker who is capable of getting to the quarterback - obviously - coming downhill to stop the run or dropping back into coverage.

He is a true modern linebacker and has the potential to be a rare NFL first round pick at off-ball 'backer.

Lagway has been special in his own right, and has entered the conversation as the nation's No. 1 quarterback, especially given the lack of separation between the top passers in the class of 2024.
