Bryce Underwood, No. 1 prospect in 2025, down to 7

Belleville (Michigan) five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood is down to a group of seven schools

Belleville (Michigan) five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, the nation's No. 1 overall prospect in the class of 2025, is down to seven.

On Monday, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound signal-caller announced he was cutting his list of more than 40 offers down to seven - Alabama, Colorado, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Oregon and Penn State:

As a sophomore, Underwood threw for 2,751 yards and 37 touchdowns with an additional 642 yards and eight scores on the ground.

While the Michigan prospect has stopped short of naming leaders, many believe the in-state Wolverines and LSU are the teams to beat given his visits to each.

Underwood had high praise for his trip to see the Tigers this fall.

"It was a great experience," Underwood told SBLive Sports. "That was my first game ever at an SEC game. They showed me a great time, great vibe, definitely."

Still, there could be several twists and turns in the proceedings months before Underwood announces his commitment January 6 on national television.
