World's tallest teenager to Florida; Gators land 7-foot-6 center Olivier Rioux

IMG Academy (Florida) center Olivier Rioux has committed to Florida, per his Instagram

IMG Academy (Florida) 7-foot-6, 300-pound center Olivier Rioux holds the Guinness World Record for "world's tallest teenager."

He's also found a future basketball home.

On Wednesday, Rioux announced his commitment to the Florida Gators over offers and interest from Florida Atlantic, Costal Carolina, Nebraska and others:

Rioux, who can grab the rim without leaving his feet, is rated the nation's No. 147 overall prospect and No. 22 center in the class of 2024 after reclassifying from 2025. 

Florida emerged as a true threat last month after hosting the big man on a visit. 

The Quebec, Canada-native is still considered "raw" as a prospect, but could develop into a devastating inside presence as he continues to expand his skillset.
