Anquon Fegans recaps 'amazing' Oregon visit; Nation's No. 2 safety previews Florida State trip
Thompson (Alabama) defensive back Anquon Fegans rated the nation's No. 2 safety in the class of 2025, putting him on the edge of five-star status.
Given that profile, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound defender has compiled an offer sheet consisting of more than 30 major college programs, highlighted by Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State and many others.
The former USC pledge is taking a closer look at those options after re-opening his recruitment in late August.
Last weekend, that meant a trip to Eugene to check out the Oregon Ducks.
It was an eye-opening experience for the Alabama star, who felt Oregon's defense is taking a big step forward under Dan Lanning and Tosh Lupoi.
"The visit at Oregon was amazing," Fegans said. "The way they are running things, you can see a big change coming there."
This weekend, the elite safety will be in Tallahassee for his first visit to check out the Florida State Seminoles.
What I am looking for at Florida State is a great environment, great hospitality and a very good place (to be)," he said. "(It will be my) first time visiting."
It's way too early to speculate where Fegans will end up, especially after he decommitted from USC and elected to take more time with his process.
But clearly Oregon and Florida State have given themselves a chance to truly stick by hosting him this fall.
