How to watch: Devin Sanchez, nation's No. 1 cornerback, set to announce commitment Saturday
One of the nation's top 2025 prospects is set to come off the board on national television Saturday.
During Peacock/NBC's 10 a.m. (PT)/1 p.m. (ET) broadcast of the 2024 All-American Bowl, North Shore (Texas) five-star cornerback Devin Sanchez will announce his college commitment.
That commitment is expected to come at halftime of the all-star contest.
The 6-foot-2, 170-pound athlete, rated the nation's No. 1 cornerback and No. 4 overall prospect in 2025, has a top three of Alabama, Ohio State and Texas A&M.
Sanchez is widely believed to be heavily favoring the Buckeyes over his other two finalists, having visited Columbus multiple times and expressing a strong relationship to the Ohio State coaching staff.
Still, no one knows, for certain, until Sanchez makes his announcement on national television.
Tune in to the All-American Bowl on Saturday to see the drama unfold.
Here's what 247Sports had to say about Sanchez in its scouting report:
"Possesses virtually ideal physical and athletic traits in an era that prioritizes height and length at corner. Got on the field early and often for one of TXHSFB's highest-profile programs. ...Believed to be a legitimate 6-foot-2 with a plus wingspan that combines with instinctive play style. Owns a rare combination of frame length, fluidity, and sudden athleticism. Athletic profile includes an impressive sophomore-year 10.81 100... Capable in turn-and-run situations. Plays with above average ball skills. Anticipatory abilities, quick-trigger twitch, and length put him in the catch window consistently. Lean, wiry build that likely fosters high press-man potential, but needs to add some mass and fill out. Still, a willing participant in the perimeter run game when required. Through his junior season, appears to be one of the top prospects in the Lone Star State and among the nation's top defensive recruits in his class. Projects as a potential high-major impact player in college with a long-term ceiling that could lead to NFL Draft early-round consideration."
