Dakorien Moore, 5-star wide receiver, committed to LSU, but focused on 4: Report

According to 247Sports, Duncanville (Texas) five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore is focusing on 4 schools

Duncanville (Texas) five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore is rated the nation's No. 3 overall prospect and No. 1 pass-catcher in the class of 2025.

As a junior, he hauled in 69 receptions for 1,486 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Since last summer, the blazing fast 5-foot-11, 175-pound speedster has been committed to the LSU Tigers

And while that's still the case, Moore has made it clear he's weighing his options.

According to 247Sports, the Texas star recently clarified that he's committed to LSU and has shut down communication with all but three other schools - Ohio State, Oregon and Texas:

That update is far from a surprise, but remains newsworthy as it shines a light on the programs that still have a shot.

in November, Moore clarified his recruitment by indicating Oregon was still "in the picture" following a fall trip, and he has since made plans to return.

So, the Ducks inclusion has been in the works for some time.

The same could be said for Ohio State and Texas, as Moore is expected to make trips to both programs in the coming months.

In other words, while LSU remains the odds-on-favorite for Moore, he's clearly still weighing his options.

That's good news if you're a fan of the Buckeyes, Ducks or Longhorns.

Here's what 247Sports had to say, in part, in its scouting report on Moore:

"Big-play receiver who provides return game weapon for perennial Texas 6A powerhouse. Pedestrian height but good length with some frame space. ...Possesses a strong multi-sport profile... Glider with separating ability thanks to both speed and agility. ...Gets on top of corners in a flash and shows excellent downfield ball-tracking concentration. Spatially aware of defender, boundaries, etc., and displays good body control when required. Plays bigger than listed size thanks to timing, ball skills, and adjustment acumen. ...Shows some subtle route snap that fosters separation at multiple levels. Impressive run-after-catch threat with a sprinter's stride, but also elusiveness without punitive gear-down when redirecting. ...Honing expanded route tree will raise ceiling on playmaking arsenal."
