Aaron Gregory, nation's No. 1 athlete, recaps LSU visit; Auburn, Colorado up next

Douglas County (Georgia) five-star wide receiver/athlete Aaron Gregory enjoyed his trip to LSU - with Auburn, Colorado and Tennessee up next

The class of 2026 is still in its infancy when it comes to its recruitment.

While the nation's top sophomores are already accruing offers in bunches, few have actually made a college commitment.

For Douglas County (Georgia) five-star wide receiver/athlete Aaron Gregory, this spring is about laying the foundation for the future of his recruitment, including several trips to potential contenders.

Last weekend, the 6-foot-3, 170-pound pass-catcher traveled to Baton Rouge for a visit at LSU.

The trip proved to be informative, and may have set the table for the relationship to take a step forward.

"I liked the practice and conversation with the coaches," Gregory said. "Breaking down film with coach (Joe) Sloan and coach (Cortez) Hankton was a great learning opportunity. Coach (Brian) Kelly has been in the game for a minute, so definitely a great football mind to have as a head coach."

Next up are trips to Auburn, Colorado and Tennessee.

Gregory previewed each trip briefly.

Auburn (March 16): "This will be my first real visit to Auburn, so just getting to see campus and meet the staff. I’ve only been for a game-day visit."

Colorado, playing for Deion Sanders (March 22): "It would be a great opportunity and football mind to have as a head coach and mentor as well."

Tennessee (March 27): "I’ve visited Tennessee before... looking forward to going back to hear gameplans moving forward with Nico (Iamaleava)."
