Tykest Davenport, Calhoun County, Football
The Saints’ quarterback was 5-of-7 for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns while running for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 62-0 romp over Williston-Elko.
Olivia Roberts, Chesnee, Girls Golf
The defending 2-A state champion had turned two strong performances this week. Roberts, a junior, shot a 68 to earn medalist honors and lead her team to victory in the Lady Hurricane Invitational. Later in the week, she shot a 34 for medalist honors again as the Eagles beat Landrum 150-214.
Rebecca Hutchins, Orangeburg-Wilkinson, Girls Volleyball
Hutchins is a 6-foot-1 freshman who plays a variety of positions for the Bruinettes, including setter. In a 3-0 win over Lower Richland, she had 24 assists, 6 kills, 3 kills and 10 digs.
Kamajay Bracket-Brannon, Broome, Football
The Centurions’ quarterback had another huge night, completing 11-of-13 passes for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 58-6 win over Berea. Bracket-Brannon also ran 9 times for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Jaiden McDowell, Gaffney, Football
McDowell, a sophomore tailback, ran 20 times for 101 yards and a touchdown in the Indians’ 49-24 loss to Northwestern. He also caught 7 passes for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Caleb Pearson, C.A. Johnson, Football
Pearson ran 22 times for 390 yards and 5 touchdowns as the Hornets defeated Swansea 42-27. The Hornets’ quarterback also lined up at wide receiver for some plays, catching a pair of passes for 38 yards.
Yannick Smith, Summerville, Football
The East Carolina commit had 160 yards receiving and a pair of touchdowns as the top-ranked Green Wave routed No. 6 Sumter 47-6. Smith also threw a touchdown pass.
Maurice Anderson, Dutch Fork, Football
Anderson ran for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Silver Foxes ran down North Augusta 41-12.
Tre Howard, Ridge View, Football
How’s this for stepping up? Howard, the backup quarterback playing in place of the injured starter, threw four touchdown passes as the Blazers beat Dreher 40-14.
Sharode Richardson, Westside, Football
Richardson ran for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns on 9 carries in a 56-10 win over Mauldin.
