We have 10 athletes nominated this week for SBLive’s Lower State South Carolina offensive football player of the week from Sept. 21-22 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, September 30th at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominations.

Brandon Bryant, Bluffton

The senior wide receiver had a game for the ages - 15 catches for 334 yards and 4 touchdowns even though the Bobcats fell 42-36 to Beaufort.

Dylan Clark, Hilton Head Christian

Clark threw for 216 yards and 4 touchdowns with 1 interception in the Eagles 36-16 win over Beaufort Academy. He also had 80 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.

Jamarion Fling, Dillon

Fling ran for 120 yards and 5 touchdowns in Dillon’s 44-0 romp over Marlboro County.

K.J. Asbury, Philip Simmons

The star tailback ran for 208 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Iron Horses overwhelmed Bishop England 58-10. Asbury went over 1,000 yards for the season.

Kevon Rivera, Hanahan

Rivera produced 187 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries as the Hawks downed previously unbeaten Porter-Gaud 21-14.

Charles Watson, Fort Dorchester

The Patriots’ quarterback threw for 215 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 48-40 loss to fellow 5-A power Gaffney.

Eric Lee, Bamberg-Ehrhardt

Lee ran for three touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass as the Red Raiders routed East Clarendon 69-0.

Khalil Johnson, Carolina Forest

The senior tailback ran 15 times for 185 yards in the Panthers’ 42-20 win over North Myrtle Beach. Johnson scored on runs of 10, 10 and 52 yards. He also had a 74-yard run to set up another touchdown.

Josh Brown, Carolina Academy

Brown ran for three touchdowns in the Bobcats’ 40-6 victory over The King’s Academy. That gives the 5-foot-8, 155-pound junior eight touchdowns for the season.

Jayshawn Smalls, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler

Smalls ran for 147 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Trojans beat Calhoun County 30-16.
