We have 10 athletes nominated this week for SBLive’s South Carolina Boys Basketball Player of the Week from Jan. 1-6 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this wee's nominees:
Justin Ray, Eastside
The 6-foot-3 senior guard had two superb games. First, he scored 28 points to go along with 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in a 69-64 win over Blue Ridge. Then, the Monmouth commit got 34 points in a 69-66 loss to Woodmont.
Alex Atkinson, Lower Richland
Atkinson had a dominant performance in the Diamonds’ 63-52 win over River Bluff. The 6-foot-9 senior scored 30 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.
Jamarie Brown, South Florence
Brown led the way with 27 points as the Bruins opened region play with a 75-63 win over Hartsville. The 6-foot-3 senior guard made five 3-pointers. Brown also had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in a 66-56 win over Cross Creek (Ga.).
Carter Bobbitt, St. James
Bobbitt, a 6-foot-4 senior forward, had two big games. He scored 24 points in a 54-46 win over North Myrtle Beach and 21 points in a 68-48 win against Christian Academy.
Landon Sprouse, Boiling Springs
Sprouse had a pair of big-time scoring performances. The 6-foot-3 senior scored 38 points in a 74-59 win over J.L. Mann. He had 30 points in a 71-65 win over Hillcrest.
Will Fowler, James F. Byrnes
Fowler erupted for a career-high 41 points as the Rebels downed T.L. Hanna 85-78. The 6-foot-1 senior guard is averaging 18.9 points per game.
Zenai Davis, Oakbrook Prep
Davis had a double-double in each game. The 6-foot-5 senior produced 29 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocked shots in a 71-55 win over the Greenville Hurricanes. Davis had 14 points and 11 rebounds in a 66-53 loss to High Point Academy.
A.J. Washington, Fort Mill
Washington scored 21 points, got 9 rebounds and handed out 5 assists as the Yellow Jackets whipped Lancaster 63-45. The 6-foot-3 sophomore is averaging 15 points a game.
Jaleel McGee, Powdersville
The junior guard/forward scored 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting in a 76-53 rout of Belton-Honea Path. He also had 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
Jae Thomas, Trinity Collegiate Academy
Thomas scored 20 points and had 8 rebounds in a 66-58 win over Wilson Hall to open region play.
Ghaleb Wilson, Andrew Jackson
Thomas scored 17 points, the bulk of it on 5-of-7 shooting from 3-point range as the Volunteers dominated Buford 74-28.
