We have 10 players nominated this week for SBLive’s South Carolina Boys Basketball Player of the Week from Jan. 15-20 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, Jan. 28 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

T.J. Bell, Westwood, Westwood

Bell led the way with 20 points as the Redhawks beat previously undefeated Ridge View 66-64. Ridge View (16-1) came into the game ranked No. 6 in the nation by USA Today Then he had 15 points for the Redhawks in their 50-39 win over reigning 4-A state champion Irmo.. Bell, a senior guard, is averaging 18.4 points per game.

Connor Cannon, Fox Creek

Cannon scored 28 points in the Predators’ 80-46 win over Pelion. The 6-foot-4 senior guard is averaging 16.9 points and 6 rebounds a game.

Cam Scott, Lexington

The Texas commit has been on fire along with the rest of his team. Scott scored 43 points in a 95-53 win over White Knoll and 30 in a 105-44 rout of Aiken.

Junior Young, St. James

Young scored 20 points for the Sharks, who are ranked No. 3 in the state 5-A poll, in their 55-42 victory over Sumter. The 6-foot-4 senior was 6-of-7 from the free throw line.

Kashannon Strobert, North

Strobert put together a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds to go along with 7 blocked shots as the Eagles ran away from Calhoun County 85-50.

Izzy Macklin, Camden

Macklin led the way with 30 points as the Bulldogs held off Marlboro County 60-57. The 6-foot-4 senior guard is Camden’s top scorer, averaging 20.3 points a game.

Lamont Jackson, C.A. Johnson

Jackson scored 23 points in the Hornets’ 52-43 win over McBee. The 6-foot-1 senior guard leads the Hornets, who are in first place in their region, with 17.9 points per game.

Dane Sundell, Northside Christian

Sundell supplied 18 points as the Crusaders held off Greenwood Christian 60-58.

Stephen Quinn, Westminster Catawba

Quinn scored 21 points – connecting on 7-of-13 from 3-point range, in Westminster Catawba’s 59-46 win over Southlake Christian.

Brady Poole, Chesnee

Poole had a pair of big games, scoring 31 points in a 108-70 win over Liberty and 24 points in a 90-32 victory over Greenville Tech.
