We have 10 players nominated this week for SBLive’s South Carolina Boys Basketball Player of the Week from Feb. 18-24 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 3 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:
Abijah Franklin, Wren
The 6-foot-4 junior forward/guard had a dominant game with 33 points and 13 rebounds as the Hurricanes swamped Blue Ridge 71-47 in the Upper State AAA semifinals. Franklin, the AAA state player of the year, is averaging 24.2 points and 7.1 rebounds.
R.J. Simmons, James Island
Simmons hit a layup at the buzzer to force overtime and then hit a 3-pointer as well as a pair of free throws in overtime as the Trojans rallied from 19 points down to stun Westwood 75-72 in the AAAA Lower State semifinals.
Keenan Dubose, Darlington
Dubose led the way with 28 points in Darlington’s 52-47 win over North Charleston in the AAA Lower State semifinals.
Bryce Ward, Cathedral Academy
The freshman standout had two huge performances in leading the Generals to SCISA 2-A state championship, scoring 26 points in both the semifinals and the championship game, which Cathedral won 74-43. Ward, a 5-foot-9 guard, averaged 19.4 points for the season.
Kaleb Evans, Lexington
Evans scored 13 points in a balanced attack as the Wildcats beat Summerville 56-48 in the AAAAA Lower State championship game. The junior guard hit a crucial 3-pointer in the fourth quarter to stop a Green Wave run.
Amarii King, Cardinal Newman
King led his team with 25 points, including 11 in a decisive third quarter, as the Cardinals beat Augusta Christian 71-61 to win the SCISA 4-A state championship.
Jason Britschge, Hilton Head Prep
The 6-fooot-6 center scored 12 points and controlled the middle of a stifling zone defense as the Dolphins beat Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach 35-15 to win the SCISA 3-A state championship.
Alex Atkinson, Lower Richland
The 6-foot-9 forward had 13 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocked shots as the Diamond Hornets beat top-ranked Crestwood 55-52 in overtime in the AAA Lower State semifinals.
Treyvon Maddox, Gray Collegiate Academy
Maddox scored 14 points as the War Eagles beat Keenan 45-38 in the AA Lower State finals. The 6-foot-7 junior averages 10 points per game.
Stetson Stack, North
The all-state guard produced a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds as well as 6 assists in North’s 81-66 win over C.A.Johnson in the Class A Upper State semifinals.
