Brad Waggoner will be trading in his sweaters for warmer weather further south from Tennessee. 

According to 5StarPreps.com, Waggoner is stepping down as head football coach at Gatlinburg-Pittman to become the new lead man and athletic director at Blountstown High School in Florida. 

Waggoner has been the head coach of the Highlanders the last three seasons and down a superb job in Gatlinburg. The head coach posted an overall record of 29-9, going 11-2 over the last two seasons. 

He takes over for Greg Jordan, who stepped down as the head football coach at Blountstown in the off-season. 

The Tigers finished the 2023 season reaching the Class 1R state semifinals, falling to eventual champion Hawthorne.
