BOYS BASKETBALL:

Coleson Messer, Highland Park

Messer scored a game-high 16 points in a 67-23 win over Waco University in the opening round of the Class 5A playoffs.

Deon Williams, San Antonio Brennan

Williams scored 25 points to lead San Antonio Brennan past Weslaco, 70-40, in the Region IV-6A Area Championship.

Gernarius Edwards, Forney 

Edwards scored a game-high 22 points in a dominant 91-50 opening round playoff win over Joshua.

Chancellor White, Foster

The senior point guard scored 28 points in a 68-53 Region III-6A bi-district playoff win over Houston Sterling.

PJ Haggerty, Crosby

The TCU commit scored 38 points in a 90-77 playoff win over Marshall.

KyeRon Lindsay, Denton Guyer

Lindsay dropped 27 points in Denton Guyer's 73-60 playoff win over Lewisville.

Drew Steffe, Frisco Memorial 

The Texas Tech commit had 19 points in a 71-64 upset win over second-ranked Lancaster.

Mark Rucha, Richland

The junior guard dropped a team-high 28 points in Richland's playoff win against Arlington Seguin.

Rylan Griffen, Richardson

Griffen scored 15 points and six rebounds to lead Richardson past Allen, 65-61, in the area championship. 

Karson Templin, Lovejoy

The junior forward scored 18 points in Lovejoy's area championship win over Woodrow Wilson.

GIRLS BASKETBALL:

Sa'Myah Smith, DeSoto

The LSU commit recorded 17 points in a 60-47 6A Region II final win over Duncanville. With the victory, the Eagles (33-2) are headed to the Texas (UIL) state tournament for the third time in four years.

Jada Celsur, Martins Mill

The senior had a game-high 24 points in a 64-51 win over Douglass to book a return trip to the 2A state tournament. 

Gisella Maul, Cedar Park 

Maul dropped 26 points to lead top-ranked Cedar Park to a 59-35 win over Veterans Memorial

Emma Hubbard, Liberty Hill

Hubbard scored 15 points to lead Liberty Hill to a 44-39 overtime victory over Flour Bluff in the Class 5A girls basketball regional semifinals.

Adhel Tac, South Grand Prairie

Tac had 12 points in a 47-35 playoff win over Denton Braswell.

Victoria Flores, Duncanville

The junior recorded 23 points in a 72-48 regional quarterfinals win over Conroe.

Jazzy Owens-Barnett, Frisco Liberty

The Rice commit had 19 points to lead Frisco Liberty past Red Oak, 56-27, in the regional semifinals.

Jasmyn Lott, Frisco Memorial 

The UNLV commit scored 22 points in a 56-45 playoff win against North Forney.

Jorja Elliott, Lake Dallas

The UIW commit dropped 30 points in a 65-53 playoff win over Lubbock Monterey.

Kennedy Evans, Braswell

The sophomore guard recorded 16 points in a 44-35 regional semifinal win over L.D. Bell.
