Look: Wichita Falls Hirschi beats Boerne in overtime in UIL 4A boys basketball semifinals
The Huskies will play Oak Cliff Faith Family on Saturday for the 4A state championship
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Wichita Falls Hirschi scored the final nine points in overtime to beat Boerne 63-57 in the Texas (UIL) Class 4A boys basketball semifinals on Friday at the Alamodome.
The Huskies move on to the state championship game against Oak Cliff Faith Family on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Ernest Young had a huge game for Hirschi, finishing with 19 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. He started the 9-0 game-closing run with a layup and a pair of free throws to give Hirschi a 58-57 lead with less than a minute to play in overtime.
Jamarion Carroll scored 19 points for Hirschi and Jermaree Ingram added 12.
Devin Styles led Boerne with 23 points and Barrett Pape added 12.
