CORPUS CHRISTI - Ruben Rendon pitched a complete-game shutout to lift Bishop to a 1-0 victory over London in a District 30-3A first-place playoff game on Friday.

The win gives Bishop the top seed in the district and a best-of-three Bi-District playoff matchup with Goliad next week. London will face Odem in a one-game playoff next week.

Bishop's Tye Odom drove in the game-winning run in the sixth inning on a fielder's choice groundout with the bases loaded.

Kade Budd took the loss despite giving up just three hits and one run over six innings of work.
