We started with an inside look at the Top 20 catchers in the state. Now we're turning our attention to the Top 25 corner infielders.

TOP 25 CORNER INFIELDERS IN TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

Cade Arrambide, so., Tomball

Arrambide, a Florida commit, is already a feared power hitter who belted his seventh home run of the season back in late April. He can play a variety of defensive positions and is Perfect Game’s No. 3 overall recruit nationally for the class 2024.

Brandon Arvidson, sr., Dropping Springs

Arvidson is a standout pitcher for Dropping Springs who also gets it done at the plate. The imposing 6-foot-5 senior has signed to play college ball for Texas A&M.

Blake Binderup, sr., College Station

A 6-foot-6 right-hander with a power arm, Binderup will stay home to play for Texas A&M. The senior has plenty of pop in his bat and can play a few positions in the field.

Cade Climie, sr., Seven Lakes

Another Texas A&M signee, Climie is a versatile defender and a strong all-around athlete. He also has a powerful stroke from the right side of the plate.

Aidan Coleman, jr., Reagan

Coleman is a two-way impact player for Reagan. The Pittsburgh commit is a quality right-handed pitcher who has also been doing good work at the plate this season.

Elbert Craig, so., Pantego Christian

The 6-foot-4 Craig has been hitting for power and average as a sophomore. Craig has tremendous all-around strength for his age and is one of the state’s best offensive 10th-graders.

Wilburn Furniss, sr., Nacogdoches

Furniss, an Ole Miss signee, is a dominant corner infielder and pitcher for Nacogdoches. He is is the son of College Baseball Hall of Fame member Eddy Furniss, who was a two-time College World Series champion at LSU.

Hudson Hamilton, jr., Grand Oaks

Hamilton is a dangerous hitter from the right side of the plate. When not belting long home runs, the Texas commit is an overpowering right-handed arm on the mound.

Blake Hansen, sr., Cinco Ranch

Hansen has been a standout all season for Cinco Ranch. The Texas A&M signee is an effective left-handed pitcher who is also producing at the plate.

Edward Hart, sr., Alamo Heights

Hart is a 6-foot-5 left-hander who had 13 strikeouts while driving in four runs with a homer in a recent win over Champion. The Duke signee has been a strikeout machine for Alamo Heights.

Caleb Hoover, so., Rockwall-Heath

Hoover is a power-hitting sophomore first baseman for Rockwall-Heath, the defending 6A state champion. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Hoover checks in at No. 92 nationally in Perfect Game’s class of 2024 rankings.

Cole Johnson, jr., Lake Travis

Johnson is an imposing figure at 6-foot-5 and is widely considered to be one of the best first basemen in Texas. He is committed to Oklahoma State.

Gavyn Jones, jr., White Oak

Jones missed a chunk of his junior season due to injury but is back to full health. Jones is a left-handed power pitcher who also rakes from the left side of the plate.

Aidan Kuni, sr., Flower Mound

Kuni is another versatile player who shines at multiple positions in the field. The Texas Tech signee has pure power at the plate as a left-handed batter.

Boots Landry, jr., Friendswood

A standout for 5A contender Friendswood, Landry is a big-bodied junior who can play either corner infielder position. The Texas A&M signee also does plenty of damage at the plate.

Walker Polk, sr., Coppell

Polk is a star linebacker for Coppell, but the senior will play baseball in college for Baylor. He is a power hitter who runs very well for his size.

Owen Proksch, sr., Southlake Carroll

Proksch is a 6-foot-4 left-hander who is headed to Duke for college. The senior has starred at the plate and on the mound this season, often in the same game.

Pearson Riebock, so., Rockwall-Heath

Riebock is a true utility player for Rockwall-Heath who has seen time at third base, second and center field. The sophomore could be the team’s shortstop of the future.

Mason Ruiz, sr., Bryan

Ruiz fired a no-hitter in a recent victory over Killeen. When not pitching, the Texas A&M signee plays first base and is a menace in the middle of Bryan’s lineup.

Chase Shores, sr., Midland Legacy

Standing 6-foot-8 with an upper-90s fastball, Shores is one of the toolsiest players in Texas. Shores, rated the nation’s No. 17 overall prospect by Perfect Game and the state’s top senior, will have to decide between LSU or professional baseball this summer.

Zach Spradling, sr., Hays

Spradling led Hays in nearly every offensive category this season, including batting average (.421), slugging percentage (.912) and home runs (seven). The senior will play college baseball for McMurry.

Jaquae Stewart, jr., Sinton

Stewart plays first base for 4A power Sinton and is a pure hitter. The Houston Baptist commit hits for power and average and is also an effective pitcher from the left side.

Jared Thomas, sr., Waxahachie

Thomas threw a no-hitter with 17 strikeouts to clinch a playoff spot for Waxahachie. The Texas signee is also a standout at the plate with a smooth swing from the left side.

Kayden Voelkel, sr., Mansfield Legacy

Voelkel is an important arm on the mound for Mansfield Legacy, but the senior is most impactful with a bat in his hands. Voelkel has signed to play for Weatherford College.

Landen Yorek, sr., Klein Oak

Yorek is another multi-dimensional utility player who can pitch and play several infield positions. The Houston signee has a low 90s fastball and power to all fields at the plate.
