SBLive’s 2022-23 All-East Texas high school football teams, awards

From Houston and the Brazos Valley to the Golden Triangle, Lufkin and beyond, SBLive is recognizing and honoring the Lone Star State’s top coaches and players at every position

After a grueling four-month race to the finish, the 2022 Texas high school football season officially concluded with the crowning of 12 new UIL state champions in mid-December at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Now with the postseason in the rearview mirror and the start of spring practices quickly approaching, it’s time to reflect on the standout players and teams that defined the 2022 campaign.

SBLive will recognize standout players throughout the state from this past year by unveiling All-Region teams and awards for Central, East, North, South and West Texas, respectively, leading up to the release of SBLive’s 2022 All-State Texas High School Football Team.

We started our postseason review by releasing our All-Central Texas Football Teams. Now, we’re shifting our attention to the Brazos Valley, Golden Triangle and Houston-area to reveal SBLive’s All-East Texas Football Teams.

Several of the top programs in East Texas high school football, including Galena Park North Shore, College Station, Port Neches-Groves and Franklin, reached the 2022 UIL Football State Championships while the Franklin Lions captured their second straight state title.

Franklin, PN-G, C-Stat and North Shore’s deep postseason runs also helped vault several of the state’s top playmakers onto our All-East Texas teams, like Baylor Bears commit Bryson Washington and Wisconsin commit A.J. Tisdell.

Here’s a complete look at SBLive’s 2022 All-East Texas Football teams and awards:
