DJ Lagway, Florida Gators QB commit, throws 7 1st half TD passes: Look

Willis (Texas) quarterback and 5-star Florida Gators commit DJ Lagway's senior season is off to a blazing start. 

Lagway threw seven touchdown passes and ran for another - all in the first half. The Wildkats led 52-21 at halftime, and Lagway did not play in the second half. The game ended with a 52-21 final score.

Lagway finished 19 of 21 passing for 425 yards and 7 touchdowns.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Lagway is the No. 7 rated overall prospect in Texas and No. 4 quarterback in the nation, per the 247 Sports Composite. He committed to Florida in December 2022. 

As a junior, he passed for 2,081 yards and 24 touchdowns with three interceptions and added 517 yards and seven TDs on the ground. A two-sport standout, Lagway is also a star baseball player for Willis.
