Texas high school football Week 4 is officially in the books.

Each week throughout the season, SBLive is taking a look at the top high school football performers across the Lone Star State. We gathered the best of the best, separated offense from defense and now it's your turn to cast your vote on a winner.

TEXAS DEFENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL NOMINEES

Priest Ashe, Crowley, defensive end, sr.

Logged nine tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and an interception as Crowley pulled away from Weatherford, 50-29.

Robbie Burslem, Savio, defensive end, sr.

Recorded 12 solo tackles, — nine for loss — and six sacks in a 50-23 win over John Paul II.

Jalen Charles, Manvel, defensive line, sr.

Blew up the Friendswood pocket all night, finishing with 10 tackles, five for loss in a 20-17 win.

Ezrian Emory, Hillsboro, linebacker, jr. 

While he helped his team score 75 points in a lopsided win over Jarrell, he recorded 17 tackles — three for loss — as well as two forced fumbles and three QB hurries on defense.

Donovan Hunter, Horizon, defensive end, sr.

Logged two sacks for a total loss of 22 yards, nine total tackles and a blocked field goal in a 30-21 loss to Andress.

Nick Landrum, Kerrville Tivy, defensive lineman, sr.

Recorded 13 tackles, two tackles for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an 81-yard pick six on the final play of a 34-0 win over Marble Falls.

Sam Mattingly, Magnolia West, linebacker, sr.

Blocked a punt, recovered a fumble, recorded a pick and added six total tackles to a productive night in a 58-0 win over Kempner.

Braylon Smith, North Garland, defensive end, sr.

Recorded two sacks, an interception and fumble recovery in 29-26 win over South Garland.

Kam'ron Webb, South Houston, safety, sr.

Had two interceptions — one for touchdown — along with three tackles in a 49-29 win over Westside. Also went 10-for-13 with two touchdowns, two rushing TDs and more than 300 yards of offense.

Austin Young, Randolph, defensive back, sr.

Logged two interceptions and two tackles in a 51-0 win over San Antonio John F. Kennedy.
