Florida Gators commit DJ Lagway finds hurdling receiver for 1 of 7 first-half touchdowns

DJ Lagway did it again. 

The five-star quarterback from Willis (Texas) continued his standout year with another first half for the ages. 

For the second time this season, the Florida Gators commit threw seven touchdowns in the first half of a game. 

His most recent seven-touchdown first half came against Cleveland (Texas), as Lagway helped Willis build a 61-point lead going into halftime.

For one of the touchdown passes, Lagway received a helping hand from Jalen Mickens, who turned a short pass into a touchdown with an impressive hurdle over a defender.

Lagway added one more touchdown pass in the second half, bringing his total to eight for the night, as Willis earned a 75-14 victory to improve to 6-0 this season.

Florida's top-ranked commit in the class of 2024, Lagway has been putting up video game-like numbers this year. He threw seven touchdown passes and ran for another in the first half of the Wildkats' season opener.

Through six games this season, Lagway has thrown 31 touchdown passes. He has thrown for at least six touchdowns in three games this year.

The highly-touted signal caller is the nation's No. 3 quarterback and No. 20 overall recruit in the class of 2024, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
