Texas high school football Week 6 is officially in the books.

Each week throughout the season, SBLive is taking a look at the top high school football performers across the Lone Star State. We gathered the best of the best, separated offense from defense, and now it’s your turn to cast your vote on a winner.

TEXAS OFFENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL NOMINEES

Ja’coryn Baker, jr., Port Arthur Memorial

Baker ran for 183 yards and three touchdowns in a 63-31 victory over Crosby. Port Arthur Memorial rushed for 383 yards as a team.

Christopher Barnes, sr., North Shore

Barnes, a North Texas commit, had six catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-6 thrashing of C.E. King.

Austin Carlisle, jr., Ridge Point

Set a new school record — six touchdowns — in a 55-27 win over George Ranch.

Patrick Crayton, jr., Hebron

Crayton completed 27 of 34 passes for 266 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 38-28 victory over Plano East.

Viron Ellison, sr., Lewisville

Ellison ran for 146 yards and two touchdowns while catching three passes for 92 yards and two more scores in a 49-28 loss to Coppell. Ellison is committed to Tulsa.

Derek Garcia, jr., Sinton

Garcia ran for 139 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-0 shutout of Raymondville. He also had two receptions for 29 yards. 

Edward Griffin, jr., Coppell

Griffin completed 23 of 28 passes for 313 yards and three touchdowns in Coppell’s decisive win over Lewisville. It was the Cowboys’ first victory over Lewisville since 2013.

Isaac Harney, jr., Guyer

Harney threw for 332 yards and four touchdowns in a 55-7 victory over McKinney Boyd. His top target was Josiah Martin, who had seven catches for 163 yards and a pair of scores.

Tremayne Hill, so., Katy

Hill was a workhorse in a 42-35 victory over Jordan, carrying it 32 times for 201 yards. His quarterback, Gunner Nelson, threw four touchdowns in the win.

Bryan Jackson, sr., McKinney

Jackson, a USC commit, ran for 98 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-14 win over Denton Braswell.

Lloyd Jones III, jr., Hitchcock

Accounted for five touchdowns — four passing and a fifth on the ground — along with 302 total passing yards in a win over Salado, and picked up a Texas AM offer.

DJ Lagway, sr., Willis

Lagway fired eight touchdown passes — seven in the first half — in a 75-14 rout of Cleveland. The five-star Florida commit has 36 total touchdowns through six games this season.

Kyle McCray, jr., Cypress Ranch

McCray ran for 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 35-31 loss to Cypress Springs.

Jack McGarry, sr., Pearce

McGarry had seven catches for 208 yards and a touchdown as Pearce took down MacArthur, 39-18.

Isaiah Nutall, sr., Bryan

Nutall carried it 25 times for 200 yards and two touchdowns — including the game-winner in overtime — as Bryan defeated Copperas Cove in a thriller, 49-46.

Trey Owens, sr., Cy-Fair

Owens, a Texas commit, completed 13 of 16 passes for 330 yards and five touchdowns in a 49-28 win over Jersey Village.

Evan Rivera, jr., Chapin

Rivera completed 11 of 13 passes for 169 yards and four touchdowns as Chapin shut out Irvin, 49-0.

Kendrick Sanders, jr., Lakeview Centennial

Sanders passed for 295 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-29 loss to Wylie.

Timothy Saunders, sr., Cypress Springs

Saunders had 30 carries for 165 yards and three touchdowns in Cypress Springs’ rollercoaster win over Cypress Ranch.

Adam Schobel, jr., Columbus

Schobel, a Baylor commit, completed 13 of 16 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-21 romp over Madisonville.
