SBLive is taking a look at the top high school football performers across the Houston area and all of Southeast Texas over the weekend's slate of games. We gathered the best of the best — offense, defense and special teams — and now it’s your turn to cast your vote on a winner.

SOUTHEAST TEXAS FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Austin Abram, WR, Spring Westfield
The senior caught a touchdown pass and also threw one — a 42-yarder to Emmanuel Yancy — as Westfield beat Dekaney, 23-13 on Friday. On Saturday, he attended the North Texas game.
Christopher Barnes, WR, Galena Park North Shore
The North Texas pledge had touchdown catches of 58 and 34 yards in the first half and finished with 6 catches for 135 yards in a 42-6 win over C.E. King.
Caleb Blocker, RB, Tompkins
The Falcons rolled to a 48-13 win over Katy Taylor on Thursday with Blocker scoring twice and adding 221 yards on 24 carries.
Zion Brown, QB, Atascocita
In a 71-0 win over Beaumont West Brook on Thursday, the Northwestern State pledge ran for three touchdowns and passed for another two.
Terry Bussey, QB, Timpson
Days after committing to Texas A&M, he thew for 232 yards and three touchdowns and also returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown in a 72-6 win against San Augustine.
Steven Craft, QB, Friendswood Clear Brook
The junior ran for the winning touchdown in overtime to help the Wolverines pick up a 14-7 win over Brazoswood in a District 24-6A contest.
Kody Fuentes, QB, Barbers Hill
The senior, who holds an offer from Army, threw four first-half touchdowns as the Eagles throttled Goose Creek Memorial, 70-0, on Friday.
J.J. Garner, RB/DB, Timpson
The No. 1-ranked squad got a big night from Garner, who ran for 104 yards with a pair of touchdowns on eight carries. He also added a pick-six for 30 yards and then a 27-yard fumble return for a score in a 72-6 win over San Augustine.
D.J. Lagway, QB, Willis
The five-star recruit threw eight touchdown passes and led the Wildcats to a 75-14 win over Cleveland — giving the program the first 6-0 start since 1962. The Florida pledge threw six touchdowns in the first quarter.
Cameron Mathews, RB, Houston Dobie
In a 59-14 victory over Pasadena, the junior had seven carries for 147 yards and three touchdowns as the Longhorns won its 21st in a row against Pasadena.
Mabrey Mettauer, QB, The Woodlands
The Wisconsin pledge tossed five touchdowns to four different receivers — two to Jackson Bolender — to help the Highlanders pick up a 56-13 win over Spring Grand Oaks.
Kam Montgomery, QB, The Woodlands College Park
He surpassed the 1,000-yard mark passing on the season by throwing for 262 yards and three touchdown passes in a 52-14 win over Caney Creek on Friday. The junior now has 1,192 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Gunner Nelson, QB, Katy
The junior was 9 for 14 passing for 138 yards and four touchdowns and his fifth score, a 2-yard run, came with 5:04 left and gave the Tigers a 42-35 win over Katy Jordan on Friday.
Isaiah Nguyễn, RB, Port Neches-Groves
In a 38-23 win against Texas City, the Indians got a 79-yard touchdown run from the senior. He finished with 203 yards and 24 carries.
Trey Owens, QB, Cy-Fair
The Texas pledge connected with four different receivers for five touchdowns — twice to Wyatt Herbel — to help the Bobcats beat Jersey Village, 49-28, on Thursday.
