How did the 25 best high school football teams in Texas fare in Week 8?

Week 8 of the Texas high school football season is underway and two of the state's best teams have already cleared their respective weekly opponents as the rest get underway.

Here's a look the schedule and results for the top 25 teams in the Lone Star State, regardless of class. The latest Power 25 update was published Monday.

On Thursday, No. 1 Duncanville sent Mansfield home with a running clock second half and No. 6 Vandegrift thumped Round Rock 45-3.

SBLive will be at No. 19 Reagan's showdown with undefeated San Antonio power Johnson, No. 4 Westlake vs. Dripping Springs, No. 24 Timpson-West Sabine in east Texas and No. 7 Atascocita-Humble on Saturday.

The state's top-ranked team left no doubt. The Panthers put up 44 unanswered points in the first half — and gained 22 first downs before its defense allowed one from Mansfield — and the second half was a running clock.
