Duncanville thumps Skyline, enters Texas high school football game of year undefeated
Duncanville will enter the Texas high school football game of the year undefeated.
The nationally ranked Panthers (6-0, 4-0), the top ranked team in Texas, built an early lead and didn't look back in a 49-3 win over Skyline (3-4, 2-2) on Thursday in a District 11-6A matchup.
Duncanville's vaunted defense held Skyline to 51 total yards, while its offense unleashed 446 yards — with 235 passing yards coming from SMU-committed quarterback Keelon Russell.
LSU commit Caden Durham had 98 rushing yards and two touchdowns on eight carries for the Panthers.
The win gives Duncanville an undefeated record entering a much-awaited October 27 showdown with DeSoto, the state's No. 2 ranked team.
